Post subject: | Question on cap purpose? |
Hi, I am new to Breitling watches and have recently obtained my very first - A B-2 Navitimer. My question (which will be very simple) what is the small round disc/cap for on the opposite side to the crown? It a small flush fitting disc at around the 10 o'clock position? Thank you |

It's for access to lubricate the inner rotating bezel. |

Thanks for the information, why or what would be the issue for it falling out all the time? I can see it has a seal around the cap, could it be that the seal has dried out?? |

Ooh, yes there's an issue there. It shouldn't fall out and should only be accessed during a service or overhaul. Maybe a result of inexperienced intervention. Have you had the watch long? May be due for a service. I have a B-1 and an Airwolf with the same type of cover with no issues so far. It may be difficult to find a seal as Breitling don't sell parts to third parties & I don't know where you'd find one. |

It was serviced in October so I may have to send it back? Is it just reliant on the seal friction to hold it in place?? |

I don't know, but I'd send it back for rectification. Could have been a re-assembly error, old seal or wrong seal used. |
