Post subject:  Breitling 44 Airborne - any issues?

Hi Guys,
Thinking of purchasing one of these and just wanted to ask those who own this particular watch if they have experienced any issues with the rubber inlay indices on the brushed bezel e.g.. rubber wearing off or falling out etc.?
I won't see the watch in reality prior to ordering so also wanted to know if the rubber is 'flush' with the bezel or does it sit slightly raised that one can actually feel it with the finger?

Many thanks for your anticipated responses.

Regards,
Wayne.

No, the rubber inlays are not raised.

And, no -- no problems whatsoever with the inlays. The bezel looks great.

I had one issue with the crown on mine but it was covered under warranty and returned after about a month.

I have handled the watch a few times at ADs and the boutique. It's a beautiful watch. The only part that I dislike on my Chronomat 44 is the detailing on the chronograph minutes subdial, and this has been improved on the Airborne. Good luck with yr purchase...

i've owned the Airborne 41 for several months and enjoy it immensely. it does
run about 4 seconds fast during the day but i determined the sweet spot to position
it overnight so that by morning, it is basically spot on again.

intriguingly, it wasn't the crown up/down that you see suggested by various watch
forums. in my case with B01 it was more crystal vertical, crown at 3 o'clock.

the lume is just so-so and nothing special. I only wear it when I am wearing a
dress shirt so it doesn't get dinged up much. still new in appearance and no
accelerated wear seen anywhere.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to my query - I'm now satisfied (as much as one can be) particularly about the rubber inlay on the bezel, so I think I'll go ahead and order one.

Thanks once again and Best Wishes to all of you for a Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Wayne
