Post subject: | Servicing an Emergency 1 |
I've been online and clearly there are two services, Maintenance (every 2 years) and Complete (every 4-6 years). When you look at the Emergency the 'Maintenance' section has clear price of £420 but the 'Complete' section doesn't have a price???? Am I correct in assuming that the Emergency has to be serviced every two years? Also, if this is true, when does the case and bracelet get polished as with a 'complete' service? Confused.com Thanks Guys ![]() |

I bought mine in 2015 not 2014 as previously stated (no idea why I got it wrong?). Anyway my first & Free service will be next year & I will have a better idea what exactly it entails. I suspect the cleaning process in Maintenance is not as detailed as the refurbishment one in Complete (check out the videos on Breitling site for a bit more info). Anyway my plan is to stick to the 2 year maintenance schedule & then take a hit on a Complete Service in year 6. Apart from anything else they will require biennial battery changes plus I get to spend a further £90/£185 on maintaining my Co-Pilot module (deep joy). My understanding is that whilst the Maintenance Service should keep everything in general in order the Complete service is required because internally over time the oil will have broken down with age & no longer provide much needed lubrication to all the moving parts. I don't know if it remains the case but one of the factors governing the relatively high maintenance costs for an Emergency model was that they had to be sent to Switzerland because of the Transmitter device. |
