Post subject:  Help making a decision when purchasing

Hello again,

I have recently been on the difficult task of choosing a new watch to buy, I have been through many different brands and models.

Tudor - Grantour
Omega - Speedy Triple
Seiko - MM300
Steinhart - A Pair of them

And finally i am pretty certain i want a Breitling, it seems to tick all the boxes for me.

Waterproof
Child Proof
Tool Watch
Luxury Watch
Needs to be 44mm ideally maybe 42mm if they wear big.

My budget realistically is around the £1400 mark, I can stretch it a little if needs be for the right piece.

I am looking at a Steelfish, Chrono Avenger, Colt or Seawolf

My question (s) if i may please.

Are these pieces worth buying form my allotted budget, or do you have any recommendation on different models, I am not a fan of the Navitimer (although not in my budget).

I have seen some of the bezels seem to have a black fill on the digits and others dont is this a factory feature ? a Colt i was looking at had this and one of the exact same model number did not.

Fully polished bezels, brushed bezel, bezels with nice clean edges and others that look to have been polished to death, are these indicators of different models?

Finally a couple of watches i have looked at the Cronometer certificates seem to vary quite a bit in the colour rendition, its a bit more than white balance, is this normal.

Sorry if these questions have been asked before, Breitling is one brand i have always overlooked and don't know much about, please be gentle.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Really it comes down to personal taste. I have owned 2, a B-1 that I purchased from Costco back in 2003, it lasted for around 6 years and then died, took it back to Costco and purchased a Tag. Tag was bulletproof but I got tired of it. Just purchased a Super-ocean Heritage Chrono 44 and it is awesome. Mine came with the ocean classic band and I purchased a brown leather band to dress it down a bit. Your buying power may be different in the UK but in the states the Authorized Dealers like to charge a premium, that is why I purchase mine from Costco. You pay less and have the ultimate warranty.
