Have I been sleeping or has this been just announced? Looks like the Old Navitmer II with sub-dials matching dial color, B13 movement. NAVITIMER HERITAGE, $5780 on leather tang (vs. $7965 for B01 model)

I like it but where is the lumed arabic model? :?

Just announced recently. Smaller size at 42mm. Could have gotten this for my wife if not for the fact that it's non in-house movement. Hope they would produce a smaller in-house navi in future.

I think I'd rather just get a nice Old Navitimer or Old Navitimer II.

Yeah, I've been tossing the idea around for a while of picking up an Old Navitimer II, had a B23 Navitimer and the lack of quick set date drove me nuts. Because it wasn't a daily wearer, I was always resetting the date, and the B13 would be better than the B23 in that regard.

The B01 Navi's are just too expensive, can't justify it at this point, so this new Heritage seems to fit in between the older models and 01 price range. I like the black subs on black dial as it helps for readability for me. The silver subs are nice but the hands lack contrast with them.

It is interesting they came out with this model though, maybe trying to keep prices in check a bit.

It's a nice looking piece, but slightly bizarre wording on the Breitling website about this model - "A tribute to the original Navitimer (1952)". It looks absolutely nothing like the original Navitimer and I was under the impression that the first Navitimer was actually released in 1954. I'm sure the vintage gang will correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the Navi was announced in 1952 but not made/released for another 2 years.....

But either way, it's certainly a nice enough looking piece. Kind of like a small Navi World, but without the GMT!

true. but I've given up. it is a re-edition of the Old Navitimer II, has nothing at all to do w/ the original.

Absolutely correct , released at the end of 1954
when announced ? I believe 1954 as well , as that is when the AOPA first offered them

There is absolutely no proof to be found anywhere that they were announced (or made) prior to late 1954

Retails quite proud... :( only 20% less than the Montbrillant B01 Limited Edition Blue dial - both on Navi. Of course I'd go for the Montbrillant B01 - and 40 mm is way better for me. I'd expect a 40 mm blue dial Navi B01 with blue dial... (almost the same as the MB B01 but some lume on hands and dial.)

I like them especially the blue dial version.

6-9-12 layout makes it quite attractive

Tried this new model on today and liked it very much, so it's moved close to the top of my wish list. To my mind I was viewing it as a current model rather than how it does (or doesn't) compare to any original model.
