I recently purchased a ladies Galactic for my wife for her 40th birthday and, as Breitling do, was expecting something nice in the post as a welcome.

To preempt them sending out a baseball cap I emailed customer service to ask for something more lady like as my wife isnt really a baseball cap type person, plus I have about 8 Breitling caps!

The reply was positive with 'I'm sure we can accommodate and I'll let the marketing department know'

This morning the postman drops off a nice parcel. A Breitling box!! Like a kid in a sweet shop I eagerly open said box to find the cheapest, nastiest Fake Breitling watch I have ever seen. It's like something you'd buy on the beach in Benidorm for €10.

I don't know man, I doubt anyone from Breitling would risk their job by sending out bullish•t like that. I'm not sure what the intent behind all this is??

Maybe you should send it in for service. Since they just sent it to you, it should still be under warranty. And maybe they'll "update" it with a better bracelet, case, dial, hands and a movement.

All kidding aside, that's embarrassing as hell. I wonder what the company's president would think if he saw this.

Maybe their intention was to show you the differences between a genuine and replica:p
