I started a thread about the Aerospace EVO a while back and then I was in my AD he showed me the Exospace B55. I was totally blown away by this watch, and the price of course but I think it is really nice.

Question though, based on the blue strap is this a watch that is going to get old really quickly?

Does it have the longevity to still be cool in lets say 5 years?

Would it make more sense to go for something like the B50?

It depends what you like. I would personally go with the blue. I'm not sure how professional it looks in those bright colours though. In general aviation it would be quite cool. I've also seen the black one out and about, it looks very pro.

Personally I would go with the B50 which is exactly what I ended up doing. If on the other hand, the connected features are important to you, the B55 will make more sense. Bear in mind though, Bluetooth is rumored to become an obsolete technology in the next few years and it remains to be seen how Breitling plans to support the watch and app in the long term. Will there be an app available for the iPhone25?

I have also read accounts of the Bluetooth range been hit and miss and working only on very close proximity to the watch.

The advantages of the B55 are also that it wears a bit smaller since the case height and lugs are shorter compared to the B50. However, to me the case design of the B50 is more interesting and it is based on the current Emergency 2. You also get a beautiful curved/cambered sapphire Crystal in the B50 where as the B55 sapphire is completely flat. The B55 case is based on the current Aerospace, larger diameter, height with pushers.

I see the B50 as the better watch in the long term and since it is devoid of the BT connected features it will be more impervious to advances in technology as where the B50 will always be and remain as a high end multifunction Quartz timepiece.

Here is my B50 Night Mission:

I assume from this post that you didn't end up selling it. I saw you had it up on watchuseek.

It's a chunk of change, and I have just bought a suppuration 44II in the last couple of months but it doesnt light up the world for me. I take your points about the 50 v the 55 and bluetooth technology. Certainly something to really consider.

Correct I kept it. I contemplated selling at that point just to get another B50 with Air Force blue dial and pro iii bracelet but it didn't make much sense. I am
Glad I stayed with the NM. I however may sell my 42mm Aerospace that sits unused in its box and get me another B50. We'll see. There are aspects about the humble Aerospace that I still like.

Certainly you can't go wrong with these watches. I love the versatility, functions, accuracy and sheer wrist presence. Very comfortable in despite of the case dimension and the titanium makes what would otherwise be a heavy watch, manageable on the wrist.

I also like the rather uniqueness of these watches. Have yet to see another B50/55 in the wild. Rolexes are a dime dozen but not these things.

Have fun deciding. And if a watch doesn't light up your world is time to move on.

Still looking around at that second purchase.

My local AD is offering one at €6650 with a 10% discount off that.

But I met up with a mate yesterday that was wearing a Chronospace Military. How would that rate against the B50.

B55 Exospace is off the table.

B50 is much better than Chronospace military. Not even in the same league.
