If you sent your watch into Breitling for service I am wondering if you would like a refurbished movement or a faster turn around time. Repair price is the same. ![]() |

Personally I wouldn't want a refurbished movement. I'd want my original one that's been serviced however, I'd like a faster turnaround time but if it affects the quality of workmanship a gain id rather not. My navitimer fighters is currently in for a full service and I've been told it will be in for 8 weeks. |

I would prefer to have the movement back that came in the watch even if it makes for a slightly longer wait to get the watch back. I knew when I bought my Seawolf that at sometime in the next five years it was going in for a service. That's just my preference though. Kevin |

Swapping out the original movement for a refurbished movement would create potential problems because the serial number on the case won't match the serial number on the movement. See this thread for a short discussion on the potential repercussions of making that kind of switch. http://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54972&hilit=serial+number Everyone would like faster repair times, but I think most folks appreciate a job well done and would want the authorized service centre to take the necessary time to get it right. I took my SuperOcean in for its 5-year overhaul and it was ready in about four weeks and that seemed reasonable to me. dams-r-us |

Can o ask how much your super ocean overhaul cost? Mine is 3 years old now and could do with a service. It's my daily watch so the case is showing some battle damage. |

Original movement would be my preference. |

Depends on the level of distress requiring a service then the model, the year, and the replacement movement. Some chronographs are so complex I wouldn't want anyone other than the factory opening it up, and that includes AD's & BUSA. In the case of some older Aerospace's the original movement was replaced by the super quartz upgrade at service time. I'd rather have the upgraded movement anytime. You can equate it to taking your car into the shop and having the option of getting your original engine rebuilt or a factory fresh crate engine installed. I'll take the factory fresh every time. Done professionally and a quicker swap and return. Modern pieces drop like a rock in value anyway so why not install the newest movement available and not worry about whether the serial number (that's only the case on some movements) matches or not. You get a new movement and maybe don't have to return it seven times like some have experienced. |

The recommended cost for Breitling services is posted on their website and will vary from country to country. https://www.breitling.com/en/service/maintenance-service/ From this page click on the Cost of Interventions tab and you'll see the pricing for Maintenance and Overhauls. dams-r-us |
