the dial is quite strange, is it corroded or something? that gold color seems to be spilling also over the white subdials... I haven't seen this model in a gold dial, usually they are with a black dial / white subdials or blue dial / cream subdials. The so called "Navitimer 92" (A30021 and A30022) usually sells around 2000 - 2500 euro, might be cheaper depending on the condition and package (box, papers etc). It was produced between 1992 and 1996, and you can find more details about it here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... r_172.html I have the A30021 in blue dial and cream subdials, and like it, although it's a bit small for today's tastes (only 38mm). Runs great, within COSC limits (gaining 4-5 seconds per day), although it's not a chronometer certified model. But I don't know about the one in your pictures, looks a bit fishy to me (original but with a damaged / corroded dial?). For that money I believe you can find one in a better shape. Here's a picture of mine ![]() |

Unusual 'tropical' dial fading that happened to a small number of blue dials of this era. Limited if any impact on price as it isn't the same collectability as a similar fade on (say) a Rolex so standard pricing advice from FAQs applies - sold items on eBay and dealer asking prices on Chrono24. |

I don't know what to say... from what I see on google, the only pictures of this "tropical" A30022 are from a single website selling preowned watches. I cannot bet on it, but to me it looks like a later modification of the dial, rather than an original one. Looks like somebody blown it with gold dust, and not in a very careful manner either (you can see that some of the gold color is accidentally spilled on the subdials and internal slide rule), and doesn't seem to be applied uniformly. I personally would stay away from it.... |

Roff, so this was a regular blue dial, but somehow faded in this strange manner? |

Not sure what that means. It's real if that's the question, mechanically you would need to have it inspected which effectively means it would need a service anyway as the caseback would have been removed. |
