The short answer is probably yes. A good indicator of the market value can be found on eBay, Time Zone, Watchuseek, etc. and SO's of this vintage run anywhere from $1000 -1700 or so. On the high end are examples with all boxes, books and papers as well as a recent service. The warranty of one year adds some value but Breitling does not sell parts to anyone, so any repair that may be needed will not be done with OEM bits. Were it me, and I have owned several SO's in the past, I would factor in about $500 for a full service down the road from Breitling. That era Breitling is stoutly made and you may have no issues at all for years; wears very nice as well...
