Just wanted to mention how much I enjoyed watching theVenice watch shop video on the Breitlingsource home page. My wife and I visited Venice last year and it was one of the highlights of our lives, including visiting all the same watch shops. It was in the shop where the shopkeepers wouldn't let admin film, that I tried on the Bentley Motors with Copper dial, and fell in love with it. After a rainy afternoon sipping Prosecco and cappuchinos at the Florian cafe in St. Marks Square, we strolled down to the shop with the Breitlings. The motors just jumped out at me, it was love at first sight. I tried it on and the two nice gentlemen offered me a great price, but with the trip bills looming, I had to pass. It had stuck with me as my grail watch ever since and I was lucky enough to get it a few months ago. It will be a gift to me from my wifes family to commemorate the upcoming birth of our first child (any day now). Thanks for the video. Mark |

Well, with the baby due any day, I have re-prioritized my collection and tried to focus on a special few. Still trying to sell the EVO, but nobody seems to want a great deal ![]() The Bentley is as special today as the first time i saw her and there are no new grails on the horizon. I feel like with my current group, I have hit a perfect balance and a sort of "watch euphoria". I don't plan to buy any more for a while, will be focussed on the baby, but will still be enjoying the forums, just not the sales forums ![]() |

Saw on the news that Venice is under water early this year, St. Marks was under a foot of water, and they didn't have time to get the wooden walkways and barriers up. You got out of there just in time. Mark |

Wow, Mark.. your collection (and mine) has matured quite a bit since the Ball Watch deal. Funny how spending a few thousdand on a watch seemed like a big deal at the time, and now its almost a requirement ![]() Actually we caught the beginning of the flooding.. the second day we were in Venice I ventured out, but didn't make it as far as St. Marks Square as we had 6 inch pools to wade through in eastern areas of Venice. Friends of ours did make it to st. mark's and they said that there was a foot of water there.. thank god it was our second day and not the first day that was like that! |
