The earliest information I've been able to find states that the Avenger II Series was released in June of 2013, and there are a lot of differences between a Super Avenger and a Super Avenger II
1. Pearl is bigger on the Super Avenger II than on the Super Avenger
2. Super Avenger II has more numbers on the bezel (5, 10, 20, 25, 35, 40, 50, and 55)
3. Super Avenger II has a vertical line through the numbers on the bezel
4. Super Avenger II has a redesigned number font (look at the 0 in 10 as well as the 8 and 2 for the most drastic differences)
5. Super Avenger II has redesigned Rider Tabs (wider than before)
6. Super Avenger II has an arrow at the end of the Seconds hand, on the Super Avenger its square
7. On the versions that dont have the numbers on the dial, the markers "batons/sticks" or whatever you want to call them are different on the old version and new version and on the Super Avenger II they are lumed in the middle instead of just being applied metal
8. No more circles between the markers/numbers and the outer ring of numbers.
9. Redesigned bracelet as you have said (bigger mid links).
im also not sure if the dial colors are different between the old style Super Avenger and the redesigned Super Avenger II.
There also appears to be no option on the Super Avenger II to get white subdials on a black dial if you want the dial with the numbers
So i would say there are significant differences between any of the Avenger series and the newer Avenger II Series.
I find the Avenger II Series looks much better, but there are a few that seem to prefer the old style
