Post subject:  Question.....Did I damage my new watch?

Hello-

Seeking opinions....
So I purchased my new Superocean Heritage 42 last week with the blue bezel/silver stratus face/steel mesh band. Looks great and from all I read about the watch prior to buying it, most really liked it as a watch.

I did not wear it at all theists eked so of course the power died and I had to wind it this morning.

Here is what I am asking...
So because it was my very first time winding it, and my first time owning a Breitling, I had the crown in the locked down position. I am so used to my Tag so I thought the crown needed to be "popped" open to the first position in order to begin to wind it. So I tried to lightly pull the crown to the first position but I still had it in the locked down position instead of having turned in a half turn in a counter-clockwise direction. I only tried to lightly pull the stem twice until I stopped to read the instruction manual.

Did I cause damage to the crown/stem by lightly trying to pop the stem outward?? I did not tug it or anything but because it is not meant to be pulled out even lightly when in the locked position I am a bit worried.

Thanks for opinions on this.

Unless you were yanking on the crown with all your strength, then I'm pretty sure you didn't damage it.

Roffensian and Driver have already answered this question in a previous thread. Look at their post numbers and likes etc and you'll see that really you don't need any more answers.

This isn't about opinions. You lightly pulled on a screwdown crown, there is no possible way you came within a million miles of damaging it. If that worries you I hate to think what kind of things you are going to worry about when you start wearing it! Relax, enjoy the watch.
