Just wanted to say hey to everyone. I've been lurking around the site for a few weeks now, and am really impressed by the amount of information (both useful and otherwise) you can get here. My second Breitling just came in from my AD last week, and for some reason I now own two of the least talked about Breitlings made (Chrono Colt with the blue face and silver subs, and the yellow faced CA M1). I've only found a handful of threads on either of these, what gives? Anyway I know I'll get hit with a "this thread is useless without pics" so I'll see what I can do to get something up as soon as possible! In the meantime, thanks for making this such a great resource! *UPDATED* Here's a pic of my Colt. It's a little worn, but it's seen about 1000 hours of combat flight time. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() 2 great watches! I think there's more chat about newer models on here but I'm a big fan of the quartz chronos. Btw, looking at your user name, do you fly the OH-58? |

I'm surprised you know of it actually. I don't think our aircraft has all the sex appeal as our better known attack platform (Apache) which, by they way, explains why we don't make the news as often, and why there aren't as many toys made after the OH-58D, but ask any insurgent we've killed we're just as deadly. ![]() |

Nice watches, I like the blue dial Chrono Colt with the brown leather band. I have a blue leather band for my Colt GMT that I got about 9 months ago and I've never used it. |

Hei Kiowapilot! Heartfelt welcome to you! It is great to see your watches, and especially like the Colt chrono. It is wonderful to see these watches getting so much use, a little bit of dirt never hurt these wonderful timepieces. The leather strap looks great on the Colt chrono. Who said timepieces have to look pristine all the time? I am never one to "baby" my watches. The longer I wear mine, the happier I am with it. My SuperOcean was on my wrist constantly for over 10 years. The stainless bracelet basically just gave out. I am now wearing a Steelfish, and I expect it will be worn much the same. I have a PRO II stainless bracelet, and an Ocean Racer strap. After seeing your pics, I am really tempted to get a leather strap as well. Times are tough now, but maybe later. Enjoy the watches and the forums! Cheers, Carl |

I had a PPL but let it lapse about 15 years ago. Used to fly C172 out of Barton aerodrome, Manchester. I'm an aviation enthusiast, particularly US military, so I'm one of the sad people who can reel off designations and names. ![]() |

Nice pics, and I'd also just like to echo Carl's words and say that the brown strap on the Colt looks great with the patina of use on it. Very nice indeed. |

Enjoy the watches and the forums! Cheers, Carl I've had that watch for a year and a half now, and that is my 2nd strap. I really burn through them, but despite the fact that it means an extra $150 a year for replacement straps I think there's something to be said about the understated class that comes with a leather strap. Having said all that, I didn't want to offend the Breitling "powers that be" by having such an understated watch so I got the yellow M1 to compensate! I think I've been bitten though because I am already trying to save up now for a Navi! |

Welcome to the group. You've got some cool watches that look as if they're being used like they're supposed to be used. The leather straps look great, by the way. I don't know much about aircraft, so all I can say is "Good luck up there and 'God Speed.'" ![]() Steve |
