Post subject: | Breitling for Bentley Bezel question? |
I'm a first time Breitling buyer and I'm interested in a pre-owned but mint, Breitling for Bentley GT with the blue dial and silver subs from an independent jeweller. But I have a couple of questions which I hope someone can help with before I pull the trigger. 1. The Jeweller told me that all Breitling for Bentleys have a platinum bezel. I have to say that I am inclined to believe him because when I tried on the watch, the bezel really sparkled, almost diamond-like. Although I can't find any info online to confirm this. Can anyone on here confirm? 2. As I said, it's in mint condition no scratches, and the AD said the previous owner hardly wore it and it was kept in his safe. I read online that services need to be carried out every 3-5 years, but given its history, can I get away without a service? |

Welcome to BReitlingSource. Your jeweller is full of BS. The platinum bezel is on the Mark VI variations only. Service interval is 5 - 7 years and is driven by age not usage, when it reaches that age it is due for servicing and you should factor that into the price. |

Correct. I had a Bentley GT Racing and it had a steel bezel. You're dealer is only trying to dazzle you. |
