Post subject:  NAVI RELIABILITY LIES.....

Hello !
2nd Hand Archie here.....

Look - this is all bs...... It sounds to me that you should do the following....

1) FULL SERVICE from a good watchmaker.... EMAIL ME and I will give you the name of an excellent watchmaker in Brisbane CBD. Chinese guy called Paul..... he does work for Brisbane Vintage Watches..... HE IS EXCELLENT and very very good value...... AU$180 for a navi full service. DO NOT USE HARDY BROS - they use young rookies only and charge big $$$$$

2) Buy a winder..... you guys sound like wimps..... you need to keep a navi full charged to be accurate and working properly...... I have an ORBITA winder..... Langfords in Brisbane has these on clear out sale at the moment...... I paid AU$650- for mine after negotiating strongly...... Personally in my debt recovery business I use my hands and fists alot.... however you air jockeys might need a bit more movement than touching the piece of skirt with the food trolley!

3) Hardy Bros - I don't like them. They are spivs. Did you know that Wallace Bishop is the real owner to Hardy Bros?

4) Hardy Bros was also an agent for Rolex...... They lost the dealership because they used to service rolexes themself without sending to Rolex in Melbourne..... so Rolex said - we wont supply you any more.

5) Hardy Bros was owned by Christopher Skase in the 80s.

So to recap....

1) Get a FULL SERVICE
2) Buy a Winder and use on the MAX rotating bi-directional setting

ALL WILL BE GOOD AFTER THIS!@!

Are you ok? no need to cuss.

I see you're passionate about something, but I'm not sure what. You're tough, so is everyone else on the internet.

It sounds like you have a personal vendetta, sorry you had a bad time. Am i missing something here?

Im not quite sure what youre talking about. From what I gather you want everyone to send their navitimers to a chinese guy named paul, and put them on super expensive winders afterwards?

Now there's a completely random post!

I had to double check where I was there for a minute, thought I was still dreaming instead of being sat in the office in dark and rainy England thinking about buying a Cosmonaute instead of working.............................

I edited the original post for language, but otherwise left unchanged.

I must confess to still being confused however.

I think Archie the enforcer had a rough day, a lot of people were dogging his favorite watch, and he needed to vent. Our man Roff had one of those yesterday, albiet less of a tirade and more of an eloquent rant, but the point was similar. Archie apologized, but honestly I am not all that confused by the point of his rant. See the thread posted for the background.
I am still looking for a Chinese man named Paul to work on my watch, but I have no intention of flying to Australia to find him. There must be someone more local. :P

There's no reason to DOUBLE POST your message here, since you've responded in another thread. Also, if people are having problems with their Navi's it is their right to post about it.. cussing at people because they have problems with their Breitling watches is pointless and is a detriment to the atmosphere of this forum. Thanks :)

You know, I've gone back over all the posts in which Archie was involved and come to the conclusion he may possibly have some unresolved issues. I can't help him with most but I can with this one. A 7750 on a winder requires CW only, 650 to 800 TPD. For all those other issues including rants by him and others regarding quality, reliablilty and service, both positive and negative, I'm feeling very tired now....

Excellent post - I took the time to look at your slideshow.

Bloody hell - you have some great subjects there and the composition is fantastic!

Anyone who has not taken the time to run Rons pics is really missing out.

Cheers

PS - Didn't read the rest of the post so i'm sorry for going off topic!
