I Traded an Titanium Aerospace Evo on bracelet for a Colt A13035 panda dial + 200.00 from a dealer friend. He said It was hard to wind so I dropped it off at Breitling service center . I just got back the report and was a bit surprised. It had moisture in the movement and needs a new crown and a complete overhaul . The quote is 725.00 for the complete service.

The dealer offered to void the trade but I really like the watch . Is it worth doing the service ?
Looking for some advice

Thanks Tom

You traded a fairly recent Aerospace EVO for a 16 year old Colt with problems? My opinion, but I think he saw you coming especially if he's in the watch business. The repair estimate is probably right on for the age of the Colt. I would get the Aerospace back in a heartbeat, sell it if you don't want it, and use the proceeds to buy a more recent Colt, if that's what you want, without issues.

I'm not sure what currency the 200.00 is but I would think the Aerospace Evo is worth twice as much as a pre 2000 Colt . Bin the trade would be my advice. Plenty of Colts about for reasonable money.
