I have a Transocean Chrono (B01), which I may only use once a month. The rest of the time it spends on a winder. The winder is set to 5760 turns/day. While on the winder the watch is keeping time within the standard. Yet when I put it on my hand the watch stops after an hour or so. If I wind it manually it works fine and goes for almost 3 days. The manual says that the watch only needs 800 TPD to keep going, yet if I set the winder to 1440 TPD the watch stops while on the winder.

Importantly, this problem has only started recently. Any advice will be much appreciated.

That's a "back to Breitling" job I'm afraid. It sounds like something's wrong with the automatic winding mechanism, and that's not a self-fix, so it needs to be looked at by Breitling.

Not an uncommon problem with the 01 movement, the good news is it's only a single screw so an easy warranty fix.

Mine is now doing the same thing. The real disappointment for me is I just got it back from a warranty repair. The Chrono would not engage to stop after I started it. I realize that things happen, it just seems "things happen" all too frequently with the B01. Makes me want to part ways with it.
