Hi guys,

Has been a while since I have posted here. I used to have a Super Avenger, then a Steelfish x-plus, then a Chronomat GT. Since those 3 Breitlings, my last and just sold watch, was a Planet Ocean 8500 45.5mm.

To clearify, I always only have one watch at a time. Now that the Omega PO is sold, I am going to buy a Breitling :lingsrock: again.

Now the difficult part. My budget is 4000 euro and I have 2 much desired models. Please note, one of the requirements is that it has to be new or like new condition.

Here are the watches that I have to choose between. Please advise me as to what your preference would be and of course the reason why.

Thanks a lot!

Oh by the way. The both will cost me exactly 4000 euro (4360 US$) each. No more space for bargaining.

You are obviously a Chronomat man, judging from the list of watches you owned, just like myself.

Both are fine and beautiful chronographs but, in my eyes, Chronomat sends that "Breitling message" that is somewhat more subtle in SOHC.

I'd go for Chronomat :lingsrock:

My personal style would definitely be number 2.

Thanks so far guys! Could you also comment on the prices please? Are they reasonable in relation to the condition and year?

No love so far for the SOHC....

Not sure what secondary prices are in Europe, but the chronomat 44 Can be had on bracelet for that price or less in the US. At least from person to person sales, not sure what you would get from dealers.

This chronomat is from the owner himself at a Breitling AD.

Price aside, Chronomat would be my choice.

My head says Chronomat any day of the week....but. If the Superocean sings to you get it & don't look back. There are no wrong answers here.

Spend a little extra and get the Chronomat brand new. Not that much more to have an unworn watch.

Here it is guys! I went with what my heart said and that was the Superocean.

I am looking to get a leather strap also for dressier occasions.

What will look the nicest you guys thank? I was thinking either a gold calf or croc leather. Or maybe a black croc...

Now that you have your first Breitling you face an important decision, what is going to be your second!! That being said a black croc, imo, possesses greater versatility than a gold croc or calf. But, any leather strap will certainly change the appearance of the suppuration. Good Luck!
