My B-1 (pre-SQ) has been having a bit of a strange issue ever since I got it a few months ago. Apologies if this has been previously discussed.
No EOL/UEL messages, but the Seconds hand sometimes just stops and moves forward and back a mm or so, at the same spot for a bit, and then starts off again. It is entirely random.
Because of this the Ana/Digi times are never synchronized.

What could this be please? I am extensively traveling so cannot send it in for a service and am very dependent on it.
Is there any "reset" procedure that may help/solve this?

Thank you.

It needs a service. Something (likely dirt) is causing too much resistance in the running train and the power from the battery is unable to overcome the inertia.

Thanks for that Roff.
Any idea, approximately, as to the time and cost for a B-1 service?

As I have no idea in the world where you are, no. BUSA is currently running about 10 - 12 weeks last I heard and BUK slightly less.
