Post subject: | Colt automatic a17350 Good watch? |
Hi, I'm probably doing this the wrong way round! I've just bought a a colt automatic a17350 with a black dial and steel bracelet, I pick it up in a few days. I was just wondering peoples opinions on this watch? I'm new to the world of watches and Breitling so am curious what people think? Also curious what kind of price these normally go for? It's apparently in great condition and has just had a £200 service and has an apparant 12 month guarantee as well. ![]() Thanks, Daniel |

All Breitlings are good. You just have to pick the one that looks the best. |

Can't argue with that. It's new enough to be COSC, and with a recent service you should have a very reliable piece. Also, welcome to the forums. |

Is it a good pick the watch though? A model people like? It was difficult deciding quartz or automatic (well after finding out what each one meant!) I picked automatic purely as quartz seem wrong for an expensive watch. Probably no rhyme or reason for thinking that buy hey ho! I've just got to wait for it to arrive now.... I'll be by the door every day now waiting for the postman! ![]() |

![]() Yes - saw that one and was tempted. Yes nice watch - excellent start. I say that because hanging around these forums will make you want/obtain more ![]() COSC = Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres This is the organisation which certifies watches as Chronometres (not to be confused with chronographs). This means your new toy will be accurate to within +6/-4 seconds per day. Pictures are part of the membership ritual so get them in the gallery as soon as you can! Enjoy the new piece and the site. ![]() |

If it's a genuine 3 year old Colt Auto - with a service & g'tee it was a great price. Even without boxes and other paperwork. Let us know what it comes with and we'll see about finding anything missing to make it totally complete. Boxes, manuals etc are fairly easy to find. If the COSC cert is missing that too can be replaced at around £30 I believe. |

At least I didn't mess up! ![]() Great, when I get it I'll post pictures and you can tell me what's missing.... I wouldn't have a clue! It's always exciting waiting for a new toy...... I've got to wait till Thursday to get it though... or even worst case Friday.... ![]() |

For a self-proclaimed non-watch person that's a very astute comment! It will be a little controversial to some on here, but I personally totally agree with you! ![]() As the others have said, you can't really go wrong with any Breitling, but the Colt is a nice reliable workhorse....... and as BB and Roff have said, you've got the later COSC version, so all is well! ![]() Oh and welcome aboard by the way! |

Yep, that's the one! It was £500 .....but as far as she's concerned £100 will suffice! ![]() I'm glad you've confirmed it's a good watch. I was worried incase people said.... oh god why did you buy that watch, they're terrible! I really have no idea about watches; though I'm getting more and more excited waiting for it! ![]() |
