I've been thinking about making one of these my next purchase. Anyone own one or ever owned one? I'm keen to hear feedback. Seems to me this might be one of the more underrated Breitlings.

I considered one last year as wanted a dual timezone watch and these seem good value at the moment. In the end I bought a mid-60s Breitling 1765 AVI Unitime which was my grail but costing several times one of these and more recently a 1969 Breitling Sprint 2010, both of which had the same feature so stopped looking at them, but I was very tempted at the time.

Never had one , and I'd take one of these over the AVI (personal of course ;-)

agree w/ Rene re the Aviastar being the (far) better choice. highly undervalued; great watches.

Thanks guys. For some reason I've never bonded with the Aviastar. I think it's the bezel that i don't like. I'm still floating a little in my mind and have a fair bit of saving to do. But the anticipation and equivocating is part of the fun!. The alternative is one of the 2111 series of chronomatics.

Aviastar is a beautiful watch with that Navitimer case and recessed dials, but bezel position is really hard to read at glance or in any but the bright light condition (at least to my eyes).
