Don't believe I have seen a CSO With painted bezel markers like the one above. At first I thought it was the lighting but the markers between 40 & 45 show some paint loss. Just curious as to whether there were some CSOs with painted markers. I suspect it's a DIY job but thought I'd check with the better informed.

I agree. Easy enough to do. I've actually found the easiest way is to take the bezel off, then use nail polish. You cover the whole bezel with it and then wipe off with acetone.

So that's how it's done! I imagined a single haired brush and a very steady hand. I'll definitely try that if my B-1 loses any paint from the markers. Thanks for that. Doesn't suit the CSO though.

Totally agree that it doesn't suit the CSO. I'm wearing mine today and comparing to the painted bezel, I'll stick where I'm at, and go naked!

I beg to disagree with some of you: I had the same model (blue dial though) and could not read bezel quick enough so I've asked my watchmaker to paint the engravings with black laque. So he did and it did a marvel. Reading was just enhanced and I did not find it out of style. Many similar models were originally painted (e. g. the Colt and SO at some point if I remember well). I've sold mine to finance a pre-loved Steelfish Chrono BEB dial later but the paint did not get off in about a decade (cautious) use. If you don't like the paint or want to sell the watch later you can get rid of the laque easily.
Attachment shows my Breitlings back then. (A few changes since...)

And the Chrono Cockpit bezel is painted too... My man was the leader watchmaker of the local Rolex Service Center
