Quick B-1 Question...

Afternoon all!

I've just landed my mint condition black dial B-1 and have a question I'm hoping someone can answer for me.

I know when I select a function by rotating the crown - if the LCD panels are displaying some information - pressing the crown will illuminate the panel and stop the second hand for 6 seconds. After that, the display dims again and the second hand moves to the correct position.

My question...

In the 'neutral' position - all LCD panels blank - if I press the crown the second hand stops for 6 seconds but nothing else happens. Is this normal? If I was writing the software for the watch I wouldn't do anything if the LCDs were blank or I would just display the date or something.

Any thoughts?

First of all, congrats on your B1.

Next, I believe that no matter what is displayed on the lcd screens, when you push the crown in, the backlight turns on and the second hand stops for a battery saving feature.

You will discover this and so many more cool features custom to the B1.

Wear it in good health.
