Hey guys,

Just wanted to start a quick thread about how and what made you first start loving Breitlings.

For me it was the first time I saw them on a few movies, then I googled them had a look at a few at my local watch store and instantly fell in love with their shape, size and overall look!

It was the first time I saw a Navitimer. It was different from any watch I had seen and I knew I wanted one someday.

It came hand in hand with my love of aviation...once I embarked on that career track it was only natural to discover the merits of the brand and Breitling's rich history deeply rooted in its role in aviation.

The first time I put one on. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and the overall look and feel of the watch. Within weeks I dumped my other swiss watch, joined breitling source to educate myself, and purchased an Avenger Skyland from Govberg.

probably 15 years ago, I was in a casino in Vegas and of course the high end stores had nice watches. I mostly noticed Navitimers and immediately associated Navi's with "winners."

Well, didn't win much and eventually forgot about the Breitlings until I started in the hobby no too long ago and found my "winner" watch.

My first Breitling encounter was on my honeymoon in Aruba in 2004. I absolutely loved the Breitling watches but could not afford one at the time! The one that caught my eye was the two tone rose gold white face crono evo.... That's now one of two that I own! Since I could not purchase the Evo at that time I settled on a Tissot (my first "high end" watch)!!

It was the Yellow Colors of Brietling stores and stalls, and the association with aviation that first caught my eye. Then when I took a closer I liked technical feel of the dials plus the right amount of bling.

Hmmm, on the 100th anniversary of Breitling. Not bad as a milestone.

Actually, the one I first saw was a fake! But now, I'm sporting a real one, and loving every second of it!

When I sold my first Chronomat (twotone, Blue dial, blue leatherstrap). Serial number was 81950, price in Schilling was 25990,- including tax, which is about Euro 1890,- today...
The riders and crown where only goldplated at that time.

I think it was about 1980!

About 2006. I'd just come back from 2 years abroad and decided I was now going to be into watches (I'd always been into watches but not seriously). Saw a Breitling in a watch shop - a navi - and decided then and there I had to have one. It took a few years, mainly for me to get back on my feet, and the rest is history :D

Tough to love aviation and not come into contact with the brand. Saw the navi and fell in love in 2005. Was too much money at the time so i started with the colt chrono in 2006 and finally added the navi world 2 months ago.
