Post subject: | My First Breitling |
Thanks to recommendations and help from great people here, I bought my first Breitling, a Chronomat Evolution with graphite dial and sub-dials, last week. Here are a few shots: ![]() ![]() I love it very much and it feels great on my wrist. As expected, I have a few problems with it: 1. I've been monitoring its performance for a week now and I noticed it gains (or loses!) about 30 seconds a day ![]() 2. It scratches so easily on the bracelet, is there anyway to avoid it? |

zhoozhoo, Congratulations on your new Ling. For the scratches get some Cape Cod Polishing Cloths they work great. |

Nice looking watch! 30 seconds a day is fair old gain (or loss), so I'd definitely be taking a trip back to your AD if I was you. I know watches can sometimes need a little bit of "running in" time but I've never experienced a need for that on any of the watches I've owned. In terms of scratches to the bracelet, I've always found Breitlings to be a bit more resistant than Omegas, but generally speaking I think it's just a case of going careful. Most of the time I tend to wear long sleeves with my Breitlings (which being as I live in England with the FANTASTIC climate (i.e. pouring rain and general coldness!) is not really a problem! ![]() |

Nice Choice, I have the Chrono Evo with black and silver sub dials. As for the scratches on the bracelet yes I also noticed it does scratches very easy mine got minor scratches on the very first day and I have an office job. Dont be to worried about the scratches you should be able to buff them out.... |
