Dear Ling-Experts, a couple of years ago, I met an acquaintance in a bar and noticed a very special Breitling at his wrist. It looked like a Navitimer, maybe a Cosmonaute, with a 24h dial. However, what made it special was the fact that the figure "12" was on top and the figure "24" at the bottom of the dial (at the "6" position of a conventional 12h dial). I felt this arrangement to be much more intuitive, for it emblematises the way the sun takes from dawn to dusk, with both hands at the top when the sun is at its noon. Right the next day, I went to a jeweller to find out the model and order one - but had to be told that they cannot find any such Breitling watch in the catalogue. They assumed it must have been some kind of special edition. I kept on looking for it, but never found one. So here is my question to the experts: Does anybody know about a special edition of a 24h dial Navitimer with noon-on-top dial and could tell me any more specific? I would be very grateful, for this would truly be the Ling of my dreams. |

@afroman787: Thank you very much for the very quick response! That watch already looks very close to what I remember - however, I think the watch I am looking for has had three mini-dials and a very complex bezel, that is why I assumed it might have been a Navitimer Cosmonaute. |

Is the one in the picture above genuine? The only reason I ask is that i've not seen one before that has the numbers overwritten by the dials? They didn't put the numbers in where the small dials are? Maybe someone else can comment? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
