Post subject: | The Correct Way To Set The Time |
Hi, I only wear my Navitimer at the weekends, so i need to wind it up each time i wear it, and set the time. 01 - does it matter what way you turn the dial to set the time? For example if the watched stopped at 09:10am and i put the watch on at 10:00am... can i just roll it back anti-clockwise or do i need to turn it clockwise for 23 hours? 02 - i remember reading somewhere before that you shouldn't adjust the time between certain time, due to some spring setting... does anyone have any details on this? |

Plenty of topics o. The danger zone using search, basic rule of thumb is to not change the date or wind to.e backwards between 8pm and 3am if the watch has a quick set date. As a best practice winding time forward is better than backward and backward can be a complete no no in high complication watches. 'Best' way to set the time is to use quick set date to set the date to yesterday and then wind time forwards to the correct time / date. That way you eliminate the chance of problems and ensure you have am / PM correct. Alternatively, just manually wind the watch on days you don't wear it. |
