Does anyone know why the second hand does not move a second at a time on my B50? It moves in 3 stages. When the second hand moves past 12, 4 and 8? If that makes sense..... Many thanks |

Traditionally the 'dead beat' seconds hand on quartz is designed to save battery life. That's less of an issue on the B50 so they have designed it to be more like the sweep of an automatic I guess. |

I'm an idiot. I mean the "minute hand". It moves in the 3 stages..... Not in 1 movement per minute... Apologies |

The Quartz/SuperQuartz B1 and ChronoSpace's minute hands (and I assume the Aero as well) step in half minute increments. It makes it easier to tell which half of the minute you're in without looking at the second hand (or in the case of the Aero, in spite of not having a second hand). Nice to hear the B50 increased the granularity to 3 steps per minute. |

My Jupiter Pilot minute hand moves at 4, 8 and 12. The only previous experience of this arrangement is a Citizen C650, which moves every fifteen (4 x min). That could be because it's an Eco Drive though and has plenty of charging opportunities. |

But it mirrors the Jupiter Pilot... |
