1) What are your thoughts on the breitling super ocean heritage 46 chronograph.

2) Will breitling increase the prices soon? The SOH 46 chrono has been at £4,270 for some time now...

Thanks

Personally, I like the SOHC46 - it's a handsome, classically styled chronograph, with a good workhorse movement inside. It's not the most "cutting edge" with the anodized bezel insert (compared to the ceramic and sapphire offerings from other brands), etc, but then it's an homage to the early SuperOceans from the 50's/60's, so the bezel insert is completely in keeping with that.

In terms of price, well, Breitling regularly changes the prices across their range.... and the only direction the price ever goes is up....

I'm pretty sure Breitling reduced their Rrp by 10% a couple of years ago. Maybe the only watch company to do so in recent times, as far as I'm aware. Maybe it was Europe only though.
Nice watch that looks good on mesh, rubber, leather or croc'

They haven't reduced prices, they just make occasional individual market adjustments to correct for currency fluctuations that create imbalance in global pricing.

I like the design a lot and the getting back to real heritage of the fifties. But as a small-to-normal wrist owner the 46 mm is way too large, even the 44 mm which costs more while gives less... I'd be happy with a 40 mm SOHC with the weekday feature added - actually the caliber base has this feature. Give it to me with blue dial and I'm done...
