I mailed my Breitling off for full service to BUSA in CT a month ago. I received notice that service was completed. The strange thing is, it's getting shipped back to me from Miami.

Someone said that they had their watch mailed from BUSA CT to the B Factory to Switzerland, and it was returned via Miami. Would an early 2000's Superocean Professional need to be returned to the B Factory for routine maintenance?

Anyone with a similar experience?

There's a service centre in FL so entirely possible it would have been returned through there. Depending on what was needed, parts availability, staffing and workload levels, etc. it's not unheard of for the watch to be serviced in Switzerland.

Not to hijack, but keep in mind that BUSA's Hangar 7 is coming close to the end of a great deal of expansion and renovation. Rumor has it that this includes an expanded service area for the future. Hence, as Roff pointed out, depending on the extent of service and the possible inability of BUSA to perform service due to immediate circumstance (that will not be the norm, soon), watches may be being serviced off-site.

Swiss Watch Repair (now listed as a Breitling Service Center) has repaired Breitling watches for many years. I have used them before. Their turnaround time is much better than BUSA, and they do excellent work. I bypass BUSA and go to them directly for work on a Breitling. They also work on many other watches, including grand complications.
