Hi everyone,

It's been a couple of weeks since my AD sent my Navitimer 01 to the service center in CT for the recommended 2 year waterproof test. Needless to say, I'm already feeling the withdrawals  . Does anybody know how long I should expect my Navi to be gone? The salesperson at the AD wasn't sure, but I can't see it taking more than a few weeks..

Hi Jeffrey,

I'd hold your breath a little longer...

I suspect you'll be lucky to have the Nav back within a month...

Guess it depends on how busy they are fixing all the B50's :)

Hang in there! It's worth the wait.

There is no reason a guy can't have a backup Breitling.

Jeffrey, Not sure where you are located but I am surprised that you AD was not able to handle this test for you. When I have brought my in to have them tested it was something that could be done while I waited for it! Can not believe that BUSA would want every in house movement sold coming back every two years!

Thanks guys!

56scooter - Hmm, interesting. I'm not sure why they had to send it back to Breitling either. I live in the SF Bay Area, but perhaps not all ADs are authorized to perform such tests?

Not all ADs are equipped to perform the test. Even if they have a resident watchmaker, they might not have the pressure testing equipment. So, it depends on the particular AD.
