Spotted this watch a couple of weeks ago in Zurich airport on my way home from a work trip. Thought about it for while... Then on Monday I went to London City Airport. Had a couple of beers. Flew back to Zurich airport. Bought the watch. Had another couple of beers. Flew home! The watch comes on the brown canvas strap / black titanium deployment, but I couldn’t resist putting it on my anthracite canvas / black titanium tang. Have been missing my yellow face Emergency so its good to get some colour back. I'm very happy. Cheers, Al |

Congratulations Al. The story of a man who walked into a bar. Twice. Came home with a new watch. ![]() |

Bought this watch from an AD. Felt it was not hefty enough and felt "Seiko" ish to me. Returned it and bought a Super Avenger II. Well, I am regretting this. I have a thing for yellow watches. Have a limited edition chronomat 44 #AB01109S/i523 that just came out in yellow, have an Avenger II Seawolf, and the limited edition black steel sea wolf code yellow. I'm planning on the EM 2 in yellow of course now that it is available in the US. But I regret returning that Evo limited edition night mission. Now I'm gonna have to work on the Mrs who is already crazed by my Breitling addiction. She thinks it's nuts. She bought me a yellow fossil watch one year and didn't quite understand my underwhelmed look when I was when opening it. The watch is light but it is nice and I'm gonna reach out the AD and get it back. It needs to be in my collection. Dumb mistake on my part. |

Very nice combo indeed. The yellow looks awesome! London AP is great place to have a little John Smiths while waiting for a flight. |

The strap came off a 44mm Blackbird Avenger which has the same inter-horn width as the Evo - 22mm. It's 'military canvas', and the colour is 'Anthracite'. Any AD should be able to get you one, failing that the London Boutique have most straps in stock and can probably send them out via courier for a small cost? Cheers, Al |

poppydog wrote: very nice duo. Were the beers to celebrate or to prepare for the shock to your wallet? ![]() Hi Steve It was a bit of both! But thanks to the exchange rate, airport pricing and the Swiss tax rebate (they are outside the EU) I still saved nearly £1000, and the airport shops are Breitling AD's so their is no issue with warranty / servicing. |

Wow! I didn't know that: definitely worth looking for a cheep flight, then. Be a nice little adventure too, buying a B from its homeland, as such. Thanks for sharing. |
