Good morning All,

A few questions regarding the new superocean watch that is due for release this year.....

1. When is the expected release date?

2. Will the jewellers be selling off the older 42 and 44 superocean at a good discount prior to the release of the new model?

I'd like to get the current superocean 44 but hoping to hold out for possible discounts this year.

I do like the look of the new superocean with its remake of the 2006 dial and coloured bezel, just wish they'd of used the 2009 dial (large pointy hour hand and hollow hour markers).

I was at two different ADs this week, both had the new SO in the store. Looked at both the blue and black dials along with 42 and 44mm sizes (actually saw the 36mm white dial also). The blue is definitely a 'metallic' blue and the black is more matte. Wish they would have deleted the military hour numbers to clean up the dial a bit.

Also saw the new black/blue Navitimer at one of the ADs.

Don't know if they are offering any special discount on the older SO models.

No reason to expect discounts on existing SOs, that's not the Breitling way!

Can someone explain why the new SO44 only has a pressure rating of 500mts while the existing model is 2000mts. Same case, same crown, but maybe thinner crystal perhaps.
Love the looks though, a definate improvement to my eyes.

The new 44mm has a depth rating of 1000m but that's still true. Why the loss of depth??
The case does appear to be thinner??

Ah, yes of course, thinner caseband. Thanks for the answer.
I do like the current models thickness of case though, but love the new 'busy' face with arabic numerals.
