Very anxious to get more info regarding the release date for the b55 watch. Would anyone have email contact info for anyone in the Switzerland or USA main office who would be involved with product development. Maybe someone would narrow down a release date other than before the end of 2015!
Thanks much
Bruce

as far as we know it isn't even clear WHICH watch will be released, so clearly no firm date yet.

the 55 Connected was a proof of concept, with no plans to ever be released in this form.

Correct. I chatted with the manager of the Sydney Boutique and he confirmed exactly that.

Hard to believe that Breitling has all this detailed info about the b55 in terms of features and construction with no plans to introduce a watch that very closely resembles what is being shown on the website. I am going to assume that if they have put this much effort into displaying the b55 shown on their site, then they will build something very similar to that watch. Why even use the b series number if it will not resemble the b50?
Just my opinion

Well I'm pretty sure they regret rushing the B50 out given all the issues, so expect them to tread very, very carefully before the B55 appears in the market.

They have had plenty of time to work out these issues.

Then why haven't they done it yet? It's only in the last couple of weeks that pieces have been returned to owners seemingly without issues and a number of owners are still waiting.

I've been reading about b50 issues for many months. Can't imagine the construction or the module being too much different from the B1 or the Airwolf, both of which Inown with no issues. So I have no answers as to why Breitling with its resources cannot quickly fix a widespread problem. Their customer service was never all that responsive. If you want superb customer service, buy a Hubot !!

Biver personally participates in the forums and handles issues promptly and most important is accessible to the owners.

I believe the brand is called Hublot.

And the B55 is in house and very different from ETA Thermoline movements.

Yes quite right. The brand is Hunlot as stated in my earlier post. My point being not whether the movements are similar or not. My point is the attitude of company customer service and response. Different manufacturers regardless of products sold handle their customers problems differently. As a watch collector, having an assortment of brands including Breitling, Omega, Hublot,Ulysse Nardin, and others have experienced customer service from all. My experience has made clear that every experience is different. The best experience that I have had has been from Hublot and Citizen watch. The owner at the time of Hublot, Jean Claude Biver personally handled a problem with my watch as did the head of the technical department of Citizen who personally took charge of an issue with a very limited first edition of a gps enabled watch. So here you have a mechanical movement and a sophisticated electronic movement. But neither took months to fix as Breitling has been doing with the B 50.
