Post subject:  Warranty Repair Turnaround Time

Some time ago, I argued on this forum, that so called “Authorised” dealers and service centres are not worth the premium over the internet/grey dealers (well at least in Australia anyway). Well here is another confirmation. Breitling Australia are currently taking 20 (twenty) weeks to service a watch! They do not accept bookings and if you want your watch serviced/repaired :guns: by them, you will be without your watch for 20 weeks.

I wander how long Breitling servicing/warranty repairs are taking in other countries?

What are other brands like for aftersales support?

Surprisingly, my Avenger II Mil came back to me in record time from BUK; possibly due to the fact it was the second time in as many months it had been back under warranty and whilst after the first repair they fixed the problem (gaining an hour a day) it came back with a further fault where the date wheel would only trip halfway and the quick date set didn't engage and the crown on time adjust was extremely stiff to turn.

It was taken into the AD on Monday 16th March and was back to the AD on Saturday 11th April! However the initial repair in January was away over 8 weeks.

My wife had her Colt Oceane fully serviced by a Breitling Certified Service Centre due to a faulty date wheel and it came back like new in 5 weeks.

20 weeks seems a bit excessive.

20 weeks. . Goodness gracious me. Any time off that would obviously be a bonus. If they handed it back in say 6 weeks, you would be thrilled!

I'm glad it only takes my authorised car service provider 3 hours to service my ride. Imagine if they took 20 weeks and no bookings. . Still, Rome wasn't built in a day!

Amazing.
