Had the opportunity to visit the NYC Boutique on April Fools day for the monthly flight night presentation and was told that they had a couple of new watches from Base. At first I thought it was some kind of joke, but when they bought out they tray I was pleasantly surprised! Although I had not been a big fan of the new Navitimer based on pictures that had been circulated, I will say that in person, it is a completely different watch. The new Transocean 1915 was also in attendance and I just love it! This one was #24/1915! Keep in mind that these photo's were shot with my older iPhone inside the boutique, I tried to get a couple of shots in the fading sunlight outside, but for some reason they wouldn't let me! LOL!

Agreed -- thanks for sharing!

If I lived in NYC, I would love to attend the monthly "Flight Nights" -- sounds like a fun time. Interesting that some of the Basel pieces have already arrived at the Boutique. I had originally wished that the 1915 Transocean would have used a different font for the numbers, but it is actually growing on me. Sounds like your own reaction to that piece was quite favorable.

Thank you for the comments on the blue Navi. I agree, this looks better than in the official pictures and still has my interest.

I'm still a big fan of the TO Chrono 1915 although I still think it would look better on the brown strap.

Never been a big fan of the navitimers, but the limited edition is really unique.

Which to me translates along the lines of "most of the Navis look naff but this black and blue thing is not bad".
Strangely enough I do agree with 50% of that statement.

Dropped into the Sydney boutique as they were unboxing the new offerings...

The chronoliner wears smaller than its 46mm because of the shorter lugs. I like it.

The new SO looks much better but I gave them a pretty hard time on retaining the rubber bezel: told them to send the feedback to head office... Ceramic!!!

Thanks for the pics Novacastrian. I had convinced myself that the Chronoliner was too big for me, but your comment & pic makes me want to take another look.

Got a picture of the Unitime Pilot with gold bezel? Anxious to see this live....NYC boutique doesn't have it yet.

No doubt, the SO with a ceramic bezel would have been the one to die for;-)
I hope we see one soon.

Yeah Matt. I have smallish wrists (just under 7 inches). So i think on 7 inches and above it'd be a great fit. Not too tall either.

Don't think they will do one unless the SO goes in-house one day. I think the SO is one of their signature entry level pieces so I guess they want to keep costs down.
