So i've been watch shopping and think i have it narrowed down to a Super Avenger or Bentley and i'd like to make sure i get the best deal possible on a quality watch. I want to make sure i have the option to return the watch to factory specs for resale and not take much of a hit if i do sell it to upgrade. So my question is should i buy the watch w/ the diamond bezel already on it and just buy a factory bezel for about $150 to put on later? Everyone says that watches w/ aftermarket bezels aren't worth much but from what ive seen that isnt the case.. The ones im looking at have about 5 cts in a single row, which looks like the bezels themselves would sell for about $3k depending on the quality. I figure a good buy on a SA would be around $2500-3k and watches w/ diamond bezel are asking about $6k so not really any savings or the watches being discounted because of aftermarket stuff.

heres 2 that are similar to what im after:
http://www.****.com/itm/191486770733?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

http://www.****.com/itm/231507397160?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I edited each because i wasnt sure of forum rules take the first 2 * out and replace w/ ebay

what should i spend on something like this? one has fewer but larger stones i would assume this would be of more value, how does one know the quality of bezel stones w/o certs.? Thanks for any help, I know diamonds aren't for everyone so if we could keep that out of the conversation please. If anyone has any advice on where to get a similar watch for a great deal please PM me! |

I for one think that all pimps should own a diamond encrusted cane before the watch even becomes an issue. |

That's helpful for a new member! I can't comment on diamonds because I have no experience but would suggest that they hurt value. People can ask what they want, it doesn't mean it will sell for that price and generally speaking the only diamond versions that come close to holding value are the factory ones. If you want to do it I would try and have a standard bezel as well in case you want to sell, it will increase the buyer base and make selling much easier. |

Not everyone has the same opinions as you, that's what makes a forum. However, the forum expects members to respect the fact that not everyone has your views and that there is nothing wrong with that. I suggest you review and note the forum rules posted as a sticky at the top of every section of the site. |
