This is a long shot I know, but Breitling lost my 20 year-old Warranty book while servicing my 1996 Chrono Colt Automatic this month.

The best excuse they could give me is that they might have sent it out with someone else's watch.

I really want this book back as it has my watch's entire service history documented over the last 20 years.

The book is stamped from the AD at the time, J.B. Hudson in Minneapolis and the watch serial number is 1728.

Thanks all.

Assuming that BUSA have an independent record of its service history - ? - you might at the very least ask them to furnish you with an official letter recording that history.

Not the first time I've heard of that happening which is why I never send the warranty book in with the watch for repair. The service receipt is proof enough, for most people, that the service was performed.

I would expect BUSA to offer a letter detailing the service history (if they have a record). I would not expect to ask for it. It's the least they could do.
Just as an aside, wonder if anyones actual watch has ever been posted to the wrong customer!

You would have thought that BUSA would have gone out of their way to rectify OPs situation.
It sounds as though they told him to go forth and multiply.
