Post subject:  Navitimer Questions

Hi,

I am considering buying a Navitimer. I've admired them for many years now, but struggle to get a grasp on all the different Navitimer models.

I'd greatly appreciate if someone could help with any of the following questions:

01 - is the Navitimer GMT the only 48mm Navitimer?

02 - am I right in saying that there is also a Navitimer World GMT?

03 - what's the difference between the Navitimer World vs Navitiner World GMT

04 - do all Navitimer World's have black dials?

Thank you for all of your help.

From Breitling website:
1) Navitimer GMT and Navitimer 1461 are 48mm
2) Navitmer World is separate model, 46mm with cal. B24 movement (not in-house)
3) Navitimer GMT is 48mm and has in-house 04 movement
4) Navitimer World comes in black, blue, and white dials

Just to confirm, Navitimer GMT and Navitimer World are two different models ( both have GMT function) per Breitling's naming convention.

Hope this helps.

Thank you those questions have helped me also. I was looking at a navi world but now knowing it's not an in house movement I'm having second thoughts

Dont!

I have had my Navitimer world for over 5 years now and not a single issue with it mechanically. Still holds time within 2 seconds and it was never serviced.

I recently purchased a Transocean GMT Limited Edition (in house movement) for over 15k and the first week I had it I had to send it in to Breitling for service as the entire Chronograph Function had failed.

Just my personal experience of course. I have never met or heard of a fellow Navitimer world owner who was not satisfied. Breitling has been around for YEARS without having an in house movement, yet somehow all those other non in hose watch movement watches were reliable.
