Had my first look at the new Seawolf - in the flesh - today. I had gone back to La Swiss in Vancouver, because they had an older titanium model in the showcase yesterday that I wanted to see and get the price on. It was $2700CAD with black dial and Diver Pro strap, not bad as that is the price before the 16% increase. Also on display was a brand new Seawolf - black dial with stainless steel PROII, for 3660CAD. I was absolutely in awe: from the pictures, I really didn't care for it, the triangular marker, the large rectangular markers etc I thought it looked to "busy". Well, when I saw it for real, I actually thought it all worked very well. That watch really has a presence, especially with the Skyland-type stencilled numerals. According to the Breitling website, it is 44mm, which is the same as my Steelfish. The older model is just over 18mm thick, about the same as the SA. However, to me this really seemed a lot larger than my Steelfish, and of course even thicker than my Blacksteel. The bracelet seemed to me immense, but I believe the lug width is only 22mm and not 24mm. Unfortunately, the Breitling website only gives the diameter of the new one, and neither the thickness nor lug width. Anybody know for sure? Anyway, once again it proves that you have to see the real thing without relying on pictures, however good they may be. Cheers, Carl |

Funny thing, after the above post I had a look on the Japan Website. I don't speak Japanese, but they had two numbers 45.40/18.40 which I assume are diameter and thickness. I couldn't see anything that said either 22 or 24, which would be the lug width. I suppose, with 45.40mm diameter, it could be 24mm. Funny that the English website would state 44.00mm as the diameter, and if you actually hold the watch it does seem bigger. That would put it at just a bit bigger than the AS. Cheers, Carl |

I saw the new specs, and apparently the skyland is also measured to be 45.4 now. I guess its the same case for the skyland and the seawolf, sans pusher holes. |
