I collected this today and it's been stored as part of collection and never worn, saying that as it's coming up for 10yrs old it has recently been back to Breitling for a service where they have performed their magic, the watch looks as good as new.

While I really like the watch, and it reminds me of my blue Blackbird, it really is a heavy beast on the bracelet, so I'm not sure if it's a keeper or not, I might try it on a strap for a few days.

Beautiful watch, it looks great! I've found if the bracelet isn't sized comfortably the watch can feel heavier on the wrist. Do you have yours looser so it moves around a bit or more snug so it doesn't really move?

I had the same problem with my Headwind.
Feels better on a leather strap.

I've been wearing mine as a daily for years. It is a big heavy watch, but I got used to it. Congrats on yours. It looks like it's in great shape!

I agree with Matt. I find weight is not usually a big issue providing the balance is in check. Loose bracelets tend to throw balance off a bit. Some don't like a tighter fit so it depends on your personal wearing arrangements. Enjoy.

To echo the others on sizing, if you size it so it fits snuggly on your wrist (and doesn't flap about like a lady's bracelet! ) then weight is no issue at all IMO.

From a personal perspective (and no doubt due to the fact that I size my watches to fit snuggly) I've never really understood the "too heavy" argument.....and I own an SA on the bracelet, plus tungsten and bronze watches that can never be described as light. But strap them on my wrist as I can honestly say it's like they aren't there. A properly sized bracelet or strap is the key IMO.

Great watch. I bet it would look great on croc and that does feel nice. In terms of bracelet size I'm going to offer an alternative opinion, I like to wear my heavier watches looser. I find long term its more comfortable for me to have a looser fitting bracelet.
