I thought about doing the same when I got mine, but didn't because of the OR deployant. That does look very sharp though! |

That does look very sharp though! Why do you say that Roff? What's wrong with it - I thought it was a miracle of engineering! Can't see the pics at work but will have a look when I get home. Sounds great though! |

He is probably saying that because the deployment clasp is in polished SS and not in blacksteel like the buckle on the dive strap is that comes with the watch. Problem is that the dive strap is a cheap strap with an annoying to deal with buckle, and a real downgrade for such a watch, fine for a Colt or something like that.... ![]() |

I agree, it is a marvelous clasp - but you can't get it in Blacksteel and I didn't want a blacksteel head with a regular steel clasp. |

At one point, I was thinking about doing the very same thing for my Skyland Blacksteel. I actually have one for my Steelfish, which is not being used at the moment, because I have the steel bracelet in use. My issue also, was the fact that the deployant is not Blacksteel. However, after seeing your pics, I think I might change my mind. After all, the back of the Blacksteel has not been treated either. Your combination actually looks good, I don't really see why everything has to "match" all the time anyway. There was a comment on this forum about how the deployant on the OR is so easily scratched, and I can vouch for that. At least with the stainless, it can be polished out. If a new bezel for my Blacksteel costs about $600. I shudder to think what the deployant for the OR might cost. Thanks for the pic. I might drop into my AD today, and have the OR put on. After all, the lug size is the same as on the Steelfish. Cheers, Carl |

I just had another thought, too. There was one posting with pics, where the guy had the deployant brushed, to match up with the titanium on his Seawolf. It did look great, actually matched the watch very well. It really did take the shine out of the stainless. Perhaps that would look better than the shine on the stainless. That is almost what the back of the Blacksteel looks like. Cheers, Carl |

Cheers, Carl Yes - I remember that - and did the AD or service centre not refinish it again when it was in for service. I see what you mean Roff - the finish not the clasp itself. I was a bit worried, I thought there was maybe a problem with the OR deployant. I want one when I get my SA so that's a refief! I think the OR looks great tho' - But remember guys the Diver Pro was fine before but we're spoiled now by the OR which is one fine accessory for a lot of watches. Yes davem - really nice - maybe get the scotch brite out, scary! Thanks for the pics ![]() |
