It's what you want that counts. If you want to know was it a good trade or is the Bentley better or worse than a DJ or any other technical attribute in comparing the two, then others will probably give you enough food for thought. It obviously appealed to you, and that is good enough reason. So, enjoy the B4B. ![]() |

As an owner of Breitlings and Rolexes, what really matters is that you are happy with the trade. The diamonds with the DJ are a real wild card for a financial analysis. I'd guess you did alright, however. Mechanically the 6.75 is a great watch and of course a chrono, but I'm still a fan of the bulletproof Rolex movement. Rolex has lots of fans for its finishing but I don't think Breitling gets nearly enough credit for the finishing work on its watches, and the Bentley is a good example of that. By the way, I predict you'll really like the double AR coating on the crystal. The two look so completely different, your new one is far more modern and clean looking to my eye though a bit big for me. Again, most important is how you feel, and I hope you enjoy your new (to you) watch. |

Haha thanks. I am kind of torn since I have had my DJ for 15 years lol. I like both looks but cant have both... The Rolex is a little more classy IMO. I think I am going to add an oem rubber strap for the Bentley since it will be a daily watch. I also am looking at future and like to see that the 6.75 holds the value as my DJ has. |

Being an owner of both Rolex and Breitling I have to say that generally I am often guilty of favoritism towards Breitlings. But for yr case if I were you I would not have traded the Datejust for the Bentley. The only plus point about yr new bentley is a little more complications(ie. big date and chrono). However, 1)You are trading for a watch with gold, mother-of-pearl and diamonds for another with just stainless steel and leather. From a financial perspective, that doesn't really seem value for money, especially when Breitling is undisputedly not a higher end brand than Rolex. You can keep the datejust for another century with no issues but for yr Bentley I believe your leather strap gotta be changed sooner or later. So additional costs for replacing straps. 2)You are trading a watch with in-house movement for a modified one. Sure, it's still a reliable and perharps proven movement. But it's like you are trading a BMW for a Mercedes but the Mercedes engine is modified from a Toyota engine. It lacks the exclusivity. So to me it doesn't seem value for money. 3)The sentimental value of your Rolex after keeping it for so many years is priceless which your Bentley cannot replace. 4)Rolex resale value after all holds much better than a Breitling. Therefore I will only consider trading if your Rolex is maybe just a TT without diamonds at all. 5)You are trading an iconic Rolex for a non-iconic Breitling in my opinion. You have already done the trade after all so if you like it it's all that matters;) |

I'm sorry, but it looks fake to me. Date window appears too wide and slide rule markings are shorter. |

The Bentley is definitely fake. The date window is definitive on the 'good' version of this model. |

Even though I know Roff is amazing here and has identified 2 others I bought as real I am pretty confident this is real deal. I will take it to abother jeweler to verify today as I really trust the guy I gogot it from. He has tons of Rolexs, Tiffany, and other Breitlings. |

Interesting. The Auth dealer and he worked in the factory Saif 99% it's real. I spoke to 8007858832 and they verified that the window goes past the R on olDer models. Serial number start with a 0 which is odd since most start with a 1. It could be a non usa watch |

I am with Roff on this one |

There are plenty of 6.75s available, I'd get your Rolex back and move on without the hassle |
