Hey guys. I love watching the second hand (stopwatch) beat away on my Chronospace. Does running the stopwatch continuously somehow wear the watch out faster or cause less power reserve ?

Breitling for me, all the way.

Lots of threads on this. Running the chronograph will reduce the power reserve, but on a daily wearer that's an academic issue, not a practical one as wearing will still fully wind the watch. While there will be marginally more wear on the chrono wheels service intervals are driven by the breakdown of the oils which occurs at the same rate regardless of wearing / running habits.

Thanks Roff. I followed your advice on my New Chronospace. Told my AD to replace the watch. They ordered me a new one. The new one arrived today and it's perfect. On my arm at the moment. I am running the stopwatch and resetting it every couple of hours to make sure I don't have any issues again. So far so good !!
