i own a SA witch i wear on my right arm i do that because i am lefthanded (sorry born that way :D ).

i have heard several people say thats its on the wrong arm and should be worn on the left hand, but if i do that the watch would be full of scratches and smal damages in no time because i am lefthanded, on the first day i got it and wore it left, i hit the wall so hard i thought i killed my SA instantly, but he luckely survived with no damage.

i was thinking of the advantages of wearing a watch left, and could only come up with making it easyer to wind up in the old days becasue 99.9% of the people are right handed, and you can show it off more when driving a car with window open (thats dosnt work in australia and england where they drive right)

but according to people around me it has nothing to do with that, a watch is supposed to be worn left thats it. no reason only that if you wear it right you are gay  (no offence, thats one thing i am not, lefthanded is enought for me).

so could anyone tell me why i cant wear a watch right handed?

Hello markmg,

there is no rule, on where to wear a watch. The only problem on wearing a watch on the right hand is, that You have the crown and pushers also on the right side and You have to take the watch off for handling.

There are a few watches, which have the crown on the left side, the cronomatic for example. Also a few companies make their watches on special order with crown on the left side (Ebel, is the one, I remember for that, but there might be others as well).

There is one prominent person, who wears his watch allways on the right arm: Vladimir Putin. Also I was told, that most of his supporters do that as as statement.

Best greatings
Thomas

I am left-handed and I wear my Ling on my right hand because it is used less, therefore lessprone to hairline and big scratches.

markmg,

I agree there's no proper arm for a watch but there are other issues that are indisputable. As long as your SA is on a Steel Bracelet and not on a degraded strap you are OK with Either arm.

I wear all of my pieces on my left arm.

I am right handed, and have always worn mine on the left.

I agree to the meaning there is no rule for right or left.

I'm righthanded and wear my watch on right side.
In the past a bracelet scartches my left wrist and from this day on I wear my watches on right side.

It's true that it is a little bit difficulte for handling but not that much.
When I wear my watch I dont need to handle so often.

Have a nice day to you all.
