I just had a pm from magdalion about the print out mentioned so I took a photo of it so he could see it.
It struck me it might be useful to everyone else who wants to try regulating their watch whilst it is on the nightstand overnight!
I have found that following the position directions on the print out (The symbols of watches to the left of the first column of numbers has resulted in near perfect timing, if my watch is running a bit fast I place in the the position that makes it run a bit slow and by the morning it is spot on! Since having it regulated I have not had to re-set the watch once, it actually is quite fun and interesting to regulate it this way ( I know I should get out more :lol: )
So here is the list of positions in order on the print out as told to me by my AD!
Position.
1= face up
2= face down
3= crown down
4= crown left
5= crown up
6= crown right

I made the print out max size just in case anyone wants to print it out for reference! I would advise though that if your AD has this facility you might want to get your own print out as watches differ as we know!

Thanks! Since my AD can't regulate my SteelFish, I guess I'll just have to take matters into my own hands...

what does it mean to regulate?

how is the print out that has been posted useful?

Apologies in advance if this question sounds stupid.

No need for appoligies!
There is a school of thought that says how you place your watch when it is not on your wrist can help in keeping the watch accurate. So in my case, if my watch is running a little fast when I take it off I place it so the the crown is up, then overnight the watch runs a little slower and that compensates the fast running! Likewise if is running a little slow I place it face up and it gains around a second a night in my case!

It is just a hand way of keeping the watch running on time!
Since getting the read out I have not had to reset the hands once, well, actually I have but that was for daylight savings!

Now as I have said, this is a print out for my watch so it may not be that your is the same, if your AD has a similar machine get him to put your watch on it and get a print out! Hope that helps!
