Just wondering what everyone considers small in regards to dial diameters? I used to think 42 for the Navi was big, but I've gotten used to a couple Ocean 7's and a super avenger |

Hmm, For me the smallest watch I wear is my Movado Moderna which is 34mm. I must admit after wearing my Breitling or other watches with larger diameters it does seem small, but very quickly I assimilate and am fine with it! I don't think I would go smaller though unless it was a Cartier Tank! |

When I first bought my Submariner a couple years ago (drunk, in Vegas for my 21st birthday) I thought it was huge. Now I hardly wear it because I feel it is too small. Since I bought the Navi, which is much much bigger, I am completely infatuated with the way it rests on my wrist. The perfect size in my opinion. I am hooked for life!

I have the Emergency and Omega Seamaster and others - about the smallest is 43 mm and it feels tiny! Once you get used to a Glycine Airman 46mm and the Breitling Super Avenger - everything else just pales into insignificance... |

Now that I have a 50 MM BRM, anything I put on looks way to small. I want to buy a navi but it seems so small. |

Awesome. I was at the watch store at the MGM, drunk, earlier this year and was about to buy a gray dial skyland. The lady wouldt give a good discount, so I figured I needed to go win some money... I guess you can figure out the rest of the story.. |

This is a funny thing.. With all three of my Breitlings I have the same size at 42mm. I started my quest towards a nice watch (or 10!) with a Citizen eco drive. Damn nice watch but now it seems like a womens watch. I think it is 38mm. I dont think I would really like wearing anything smaller than a 38mm. I could adjust to the Citizen after a while, but dont care too. I am letting my 16 year old wear it, now that the Breitlings have come home! When I was first shopping for a Breitling, the 38mm Montbrillant was on the list, but two weeks ago I looked at it again and ...NO WAY. Its on the list for my wife now, it really looked good on her little wrist. On mine it looked like a black quarter with a strap! I think that the size thing is about a couple of things. 1st you cant have dainty little wrist and expect a Legende or a Super Avenger to look anything but cartoony or ready for the 50 cent video shoot. That being said, I initially swore the SA off, looked too big the first time. 2nd the size thing grows on you. After wearing 42mm for a while now, I re-tried a SA and now it seems to fit..hmmm. I now have the AD gonna call when the SABS comes in. It is whatever looks good to you and feels good on your wrist. Scott |

...I think if you wear any watch long enough (subjective: 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month) it will feel perfect size... |

For me it mostly depends on the watch. I have a vintage JLC in gold, 36mm, and for that type and model it is perfect. 36mm on a more robust chunky watch would be wrong though. For Breitling I probably think that less than 42 would be too small. I'm perfectly fine with a SO, but the Colt feels a bit too small for my monkey wrists. |

The smallest watch I own (apart from my Olympus which will hopefully be going soon!) is my Steelfish at 44mm. To be honest even that feels a little small to me compared to my others...... but as others have said what you consider big or small is a totally personal thing. Additionally I find the area of crystal makes a world of difference in the perception of size. I find that my World seems WAY bigger than my Steelfish even though it's only 2mm larger.... and to me that is due to the impression that the larger area of crystal. |

43.5 mm is the smallest for me and thats the B-1. Even that seems small sometimes.

Most of mine are sub 40mm, because that's how they made them in olden times. I've said this before, but I just don't get the size thing - I wear large, and I wear small, and am perfectly happy with both, it's no different to me than deciding between short sleeve or long, dress shirt or t-shirt - sometimes one is right, other times something different works. |
