Hi,

I am thinking of getting a rubber strap for my Navitimer a23322, however the Breitling website doesnt list one. Has anyone seen a Navitimer with an Ocean Racer or Diver Pro strap fitted and does it look any good?

many thanks

Welcome aboard.
Most of members (including myself) will tell you that putting a rubber on the Navitimer is sacrilege. :)

^ This, although any will fit as long as the lug width is correct (22mm).

Bund, nato ?

I also like distressed leather , lightish brown, on a Breitling

No but I put a bright red carbon fibre strap on my O & W Aviation once. Looked cool for a while until I got sick of it. It now sports the original strap (which is not that good), but it's authentic. If you want to swap a strap out for a while, why not.

Do it right, Rene. Get a pink Nato strap while you're at it!

Just ordered pink rubber as pink nato is still nato ;-)

this.

even Nato works quite well if you choose the color wisely - but we had a member who was (is?) convinced the Pro 2 was the ideal strap for a vintage Navi .....

I think I will try a pro 2 and get a replacement black leather strap so I can switch between the two. Any other suggestions are welcome.

cheers

Remember, just because it has a rubber strap doesn't mean it can go in the water! I tried an OR rubber strap on a Navi World. I though it looked great for a change, but only lasted a day or two before I put the leather back on.

Keep in mind a strap is not for keeps and either will wear out in time or you will want a change for something new.

Some here regularly change their straps to try out something different, sometimes with stunning results and sometimes (to my eyes at least) with mixed results. It's up to you on what you do. But, one thing us for sure, you will never know if you don't give it a go.
