AD friend Ace & Dik in Amsterdam had a Breitling event this evening with some/most of the new models, could not attend, but asked for some wrist shots, thought you might enjoy them; might add more tomorrow.

E II is now finally on the way they say, 3 weeks for pre-ordered pieces; Cockpit looks really good to me.

Cockpit does look good, I just don't get the name. I need to see an E II in real life but it continues to look comically large in pictures.

they both look good imo. I don't think the E2 will be a watch to wear with button down long sleeve shirts.

I really like the cockpit, but the price will keep me away.

I'm really starting to like the Cockpit B50. From what I've heard it has some interesting functions (vibrating alarm, auto backlight, improved timer functions, flight-time logbook for 20 flights).

just received some more shots - and I'm surprised. The TOC Boutique LE is very, very nice irl.

hinged double caseback, modified cal. B01. impressed.

Agreed with all the sentiments expressed so far :the E2 IS still ridiculously large (and expensive), the Cockpit B50 IS very handsome (EXCEPT for the way the top digi display window cuts off part of the "10" - why did they do that when every other damn number fits perfectly on the dial!), and the boutique TOC LE looks superb. It's geat to see a variation with the layout on the B01. (In fact I remember mocking up a twin register version of the Chronomat B01 when we were all under the dellusion that we could get a BS LE created!). The double caseback is a nice touch too - very "pocket-watch" style. I wouldn't want to see that on every model, but as a one-off it looks great.

Thanks for sharing Fred!

Please note that the delivery date for the EII might be different in countries other than ours (The Netherlands) as Breitling is still struggling with the certification for the beacons. In NL it is completed, but last I heard this is not yet the case for ALL countries.

Kind regards,

Dale

Does seem odd that the '10' is intact on the e2 and not the cockpit, suppose that could be down to the case size though?
TO is great though, good work breitling!

The E2 has a different quartz movement than the Cockpit, hence the different sized display windows

Been a while since I've checked in so these models are all news to me (life, work, etc..). I like the look of that LE TO and I'm not a huge fan of digital watches so I could take or leave the EII and new "Cockpit".

1 out of 3 "new" models being palatable is about what I've come to expect from Breitling. :lingsrock:

I'll have to disagree with Roff and say that I think the Cockpit name is befitting of an instrument-style digital watch. The Cockpit I know and love (my A49350 is on my wrist as we speak) never felt right being called a "Cockpit". I Always felt the name was a little "technical" for what I'd consider a relatively uncomplicated watch with a bit more style than function.

Good to see you back Ian!

I agree with all of that, but.......

Rightly or wrongly Breitling have used the name already and it seems odd to resurrect it in a watch that has nothing to do with the original. I guess that there is history for that - the 1984 Chronomat was nothing like the original, but it still seems odd given how many possible names there are for watches. Still, doesn't take away from the watch.

transOcean, Montbrillant, ETA right crown Chrono-Matic, worst of all, the Chronomat which even carries the "Mathematician" in it's name. nobody at Breitling truly cares about heritage or consistency, at least the Cockpit is an attractive watch .....

What was the price point of the Cockpit?
Interesting to know what the difference will be with the EII. How much the PLB adds.
